Description

This is the story of a farm like no other. Cookshire’s Pine Hill Farm is unique in so many ways – its geographic features, the great variety of crops grown and the Noah’s ark collection of animals raised. Among its physical features are hilly fields and flat meadowland, a rich conifer forest, a maple sugar bush, spring-fed ponds stocked with fish, a babbling brook and a river that runs right through the property. It is also the story of six generations of the Bailey-Fraser family, who tilled this land since the 1790s, and of the Abenaki First Nations peoples whose presence preceded that of my ancestors.
