Our Stories: The Eastern Townships Chapter in Canada’s 150-year story focuses on the influence and role that Townshippers – the English-speaking community of Quebec’s historical Eastern Townships – have had on the fabric of Canada. Through various genres and mediums, 25 contributors examine the nuances of this community’s experiences, its characters, its contributions and its spirit.
The Our Stories project was launched in 2016 by Townshippers’ Association to mark Canada’s 150th-anniversary celebrations. This book laces together some of the many stories from the Townships past and offers a glimpse of the perspectives of today.
Our Stories, the community-created digital anthology produced by nonprofit organization Townshippers’ Association, has been released in a soft-cover book, limited to just 150 copies in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be reinjected into the Association’s Townships Expressions initiative which gives local English-speaking artists a way to promote and sell their works.
